GANG OF ONE GASTON was established in 2006 as primarily a hotline and referral service for gang prevention and intervention assistance.  Program staff have worked to identify local agencies and programs within Gaston County that will assist youth, families, teachers, administration and community members with preventing or intervening in high-risk activity and gang association.  GANG OF ONE GASTON works diligently to connect those in need with local services that make a difference.  Referral services collaborating with GANG OF ONE GASTON range from mental health and substance abuse assistance to tattoo removal for those involved in gangs but have chosen to make a personal change.   
 
If you are a youth or concerned parent who is looking for alternatives to the gang lifestyle, the GANG OF ONE GASTON Coordinator will work with you and the appropriate service providers to help identify an effective disassociation plan.  The number of partners GANG OF ONE GASTON has established are available to help you, or your youth, turn their life around.  As a community, GANG OF ONE GASTON is working hand-in-hand with other area partners to help youth make the best choices for their future; helping our community become a safe place to live, work and play.
